SCOTTY WENNERSTROM
Yet again we found ourselves another weekend of weather, this time it was Seattle, Washington. Lots of rain leading up to race day made the soils softer than usual and Scotty knew he was in for some work. Immediately on Saturday morning, the free practice session was cancelled and this added to the already tough conditions. Scotty put his head down when the first qualifying session finally began and was doing everything he could to get in a clean lap. The track was so chewed up from the previous session it was purely survival he would set his focus on the next one, hoping for a smoother track. In the final qualifying session, Scotty was able to beat his time from the first and was doing everything he could to just shave one more second off. Unfortunately he would come up just a couple spots short but would shift his focus to next weekend with some new gained confidence.

What a wild weekend in Seattle—mud, ruts, and a ton of adrenaline! I remember watching a local race years ago that had similar weather, and honestly, most riders just gave up halfway through. If you’re inspired by this and looking to start your own motocross journey, don’t underestimate the cost of gear and a decent bike - financing can be a real help. I used Td Auto Finance phone number when I got my first car and after I bought moto bike, and it made the process way less stressful. Pro tip for you: always clean your gear the same day, especially after a mud fest like that—learned that the hard way.
